Will it affect my derivative I 485 case if my husband gets laid off?

Hi:
 I want to know whether it will affect my derivative I 485 case if my husband gets laid off in the worst case? His case already got approved, mine is still pending because we got married after he sent out I 485 application but before his approval. There\'s some rumor running in his company about layoff.
 I\'ll definitely ask my lawyer, but if I can get some thrid-party opinion, it would be better.

has it been 6 months/180 days since his 485 got applied?

If yes, then you both are safe. otherwise, in my opinion, your husband will have to find another h-1b sponsor asap.

I have heard from someone that you can put your spouse\'s name at the time of FP. Is that true? What is the absolute last point in the I485 processing you can ur spouse\'s name?

I think you may try it when your spouse takes FP .

From the application perspective, you may do it at any time as long as you get married before I 485 approval.
But if you want to do it faster for your spouse, you may try it when you take the FP. Please let me know how things going whehter this method works if you try that.
