will i still get conditional green card after 2+ yrs of name check?

i applied for GC through my citizen hubby in 2003. the UCIS lady approved our app on the spot but she told us to wait on FBI name check. here i am 2 yrs later still nothing from the FBI.
my question is, will i get real GC (instead of the temp conditional GC) after 2 yrs of waiting? do i have to wait another 2 yrs to remove the condition. am afraid i will forget.. hehehe
Thanks in advance. :)
please advice

Good question. I would guess that you would have to go through the 2 years with a conditional green card before you were isssued the 10-year permanent green card.

The two year conditional green card is a way for the gov't to "kinda" give you a green card while they wait and see if the marriage was bonafied.

The same would happen if an american married a foreigner but didn't apply for a green card until 5 years after they were married. They will still get the two year conditional green card.

It doesn't make much sense, but this is a gov't and they don't tend to make exceptions no matter how logical they appear.

Thanks for your answer! :) i guess conditional GC is better than no GC. my current situation is, I have to apply for advanced parole to go out of country (each time cost $100+). and i have to apply for renewal EAD every year, which cost another few hard-earned bucks!! :p UCIS is having great business.

Not right. If your gren card is aproved afer two years of marriage you get a ten year card. If your C was approved at the time of interview it would have been for 2 years as your marriage was less thn two years Howver sicne your marriage is more than two years old you will get a 10 year one.

that,s not true. if u married a usc and file for green card 2 years after the marriage u getting 10 years permanent green card.the conditional card is only for those who,s marriage is less than 2 years at the time of their AOS interview approval

Belle Will be getting her 10 yrs GC Not a 2 Yrs , since she waited and it's already 2 yrs after the Interview , and also she is still married and is with her partner , USCIS will skip the 2 YRS , they would normally do that 2 yrs marriage Condition to see if the married is bonafied, in this case it is since they are still married .
