My employer said he has filed 140/485 for me. He asked me to sign some forms and he said lawyer is taking care of filing. I also gave him photos and medical certificate. How can I verify that he has indeed filed my application? Since 485 is an employee based application, will I get a receipt notice for 485? will lawyer also get a copy of receipt notice? All answers are very much appreciated. Thanks.

--- I-140 belogns to Employer and I-485 is YOUR petition it belongs to you. the lawyer will get reciepts for I-140 and I-485 filing, you should ask for reciepts from lawyer after 15-20 days of filling with USCIS or let your employer H.R get you the reciepts from Lawyer
will lawyer also get a copy of receipt notice?
