Will BCIS interview before time limit

Dear all,

I was selected for DV2003, and has decided to do AOS in US.

Choosing the AOS in here is confusing, since there is no specific information about it as that of CP. I've been very confused these few months, but fortunately I found this portal, I feel very relieved. :p

I've filed on beginning of March in BCIS Houston, and fingerprinted on beginning March 28, 2003. Now I've been waiting for an interview. It has been 3 months.

I am worry whether the BCIS will give an interview before the time limit (Sept 30, 2003), because when I filed my case in there it seemed that the officers are unaware that the dv winner had limited time for the interview.

Is there anybody that can help me?
I appreciated it!

Best regards,

Airin

Hi...pwdg

thanks for the review.........

My case number is 2003AS00007xxx
I've filed on beginning of march, and fingerprinted 1 month after that.

I've tried to know my case status, but I have no receipt number.
Do you know how I can check my status?

Will they interview me bfr the time limit?

Thanks

Airin

Airin,
I have passed that stage. My dear if you are serious about this green card you need to sleep at that INS office. I hear what happens is that DV cases easily fall through the cracks, that is if you let it. You need to go there and ask what the status of the case is. It only took INS here 3 weeks to shedule my interview, that is because I was always there making sure that some progress was happening.

Please do not assume that once you have filed that they are obligated to do anything for you.

And also, my number was higher than your's and I still got and interview before you.

Please visit that office asap. And by the way, do not tell the guy at the information desk that you are seeking status information, he may send you away and just tell you to wait. Tell him that you need to ask INS to request a document from your home country or something, anything to get a number to talk directly to the officers instead of being sent home.

Good Luck!

Hi:
Could you please tell us your case number and the region. You need not to reveal your last three digits, eg 2000AS?????XXX
Thanks

Thanks MJ..........

My status really concern me a lot ! My BCIS has not called me for an interview yet. :( It has already the end of July....... I have tried many kind of ways to expedite my case......I hired a lawyer who turned out to be very irresponsible after accepted my full payment in front. He never answer the phone after I left messages in his secretary. I hope I am wrong.

I also have sent a letter a congressman last month. He replied it quickly in a week. I hope he cando much.

Anyway......I think you are correct......I need to go there to ask about my status with a little trick....

MJ.....may I know what year you are and which BCIS office you filed your case?

You should demand a full refund of your money from this lawyer, and report him to the local state bar (after your immigration issue is resolved).
