Will 2001 visas be carried over to 2002 if not used up?

Gurus, since we have 190,000 EB visas for fiscal year 2001, it\'s most likely those visas will not be used up, if there are still some visas left this year , then starting in October( fiscal year 2002), will we have 140,000 + visas left from 2001 + visas left from 1999, 2000 or we just have 140,000 ?

The reason I am asking is I didn\'t see anywhere in AC21 saying that visas left from 2001 will be carried over to the following year (2002).

Please comment .

You want to have a cake and eat it too. The H1 visas are not carried over. The visa numbers for GC are also not carried over. Only unused numbers from some countries are used for oversubscribed countries. But if for some reason the oversubscribed countries do not use their quota in a year, then the numbers are not carried forward.

Anyway since there is enough quota for H1 why are you worried ?
 
If you check the latest MurthyChat, you will know why. PD could retrogress around March 2002.

But if there are still visas left from fiscal year 2001 can be used
in 2002, PD retrogress might not happen that early.
