So, now I have a question... looks like my wifes AoS app is going smoothly and all will be well (I hope) - but the issue is, her mother is getting older now and will be back in Canada and if she were to ever get sick we'd want to be able to take care of her out here in the states if we so needed... so, here's the quesiton, once my wife becomes an LPR can she just apply for her mother or how does that work? I thought I read somewhere on here or in my book that this is possible. Thanks!

Lawful Permanent Residents can ONLY file an I-130 for:

(1) husband or wife;
(2) unmarried child under 21 years of age;
(3) unmarried son or daughter over 21 years of age.

Your wife can file I-130 for her mom when she becomes a citizen.
