Wife's Maiden Name on Receipt Notice

I posted before about the discrepancy in my wife's last name in the 485 receipt. I called attorney & she said, we just have to wait for the approval & then they will file for a change of name or something to that effect.

Will this post any problem?

I would call up INS and get it recified immediately. Had a similar problem for my wife on her H4 approval notice. She called up the problem was resolved on the phone itself. New approval notice was mailed within 30 days with correct name. (This is assuming it was a fault on the part of INS, and correct name was written on the application that was subbmitted.)

the attorney says it was my fault because i placed an incorrect surname in the application form. so, she said, we have to wait 'til the approval comes & then they will take action.

i'm just worried....
