My wife interview was today at 9am.We arrived around 8:30am.The same routine passing through metal detector,Submitted the IL and waited half hr for the turn. Finally she was called by an officer seems to me very professional .My wife went in with her and after few seconds they both came out and my wife ask that if we brought her birth certificate. That was unexpected as submitted it during i485 and it was not asked for in the check list.so i decided to drive back home around half hr one way. When i came back to the office with the birth certificate my wife was done with the interview already got the n-652 with congratulations u have passed the test but verballyshe was told that u still have 5 days left in ur 5 yr .so we will mail u th OL .She went on the whole n-400 one by one.The questions were from the 100 questions. So now we will wait for OL.

Hi Shaheer3, I am glad everything went well with your wife's interview. Since my DO is also Buffalo, I will take extra documents such as birth certificate. Thanks for sharing. Any other advise?

ask that if we brought her birth certificate. That was unexpected as submitted it during i485 and it was not asked for in the check list

I wonder if the USCIS has an internal policy that request IOs to sample a small percentage of applicants for certain documents
which are generakky NOT required. Otherwise why is that very few people are asked to show marriage documents when neither
their GC nor N400 is marriage based, or birth certificate in case of OP etc and etc

Hello as I wrote in the previous mail my DO is Buffalo NY.My wife PD was dec 1 and mine is dec 14 that's why difference in interview dates.she also ask for the marriage certificate though my case is not marriage based. So the bottom line is to take every thing in the bag marriage, birth, kids passport or BC.u never know what they ask for. Our DO is not that busy.so interviews r on time.Good luck every one including myself.
