Wife's frist name change !

I have a questions regarding my wife's first name change.
Our marriage certificate shows her old name, but the passport and H4 shows the new name. Is it going to be a problem while applying I-485, because of marriage certificate has old name on it? What proof should I use regarding the name change?
Chennai embassy accepted that marriage certificate in issuing visa with the new name, but I am little bit concered about the policies here at INS.
The only proof we have regarding the name change is "government gazette" (like a offical publication magazine from A.P.) and paper ad. We don't have any offical name change certificate.

You will not get any official certificate for name change done in India. You can submit copy of gazette notification as the proof. In one of the forms that you submit along with I-485, you need to list all the previous names used. If you want, you can give affidavit from parents, relatives or friends regardng the name change.
