Wife using EAD - would that affect husband's status

I understand that one should continue to stay on H1 visa as long as possible. Can anyone elaborate on: "why this is a wise idea"?

Husband and wife filed 140/485 concurrently.
And, 140 is approved.

scenario 1:
If the primary applicant is the husband and wife (who is on H4) uses her EAD, then
1. Does that have any impact on the husband's status?
2. What would her status be? Would she lose her H4 status?

scenario 2:
If the primary applicant is the husband and wife (who is on F1) uses her EAD, then
1. Does that have any impact on the husband's status?
2. What would her status be?

I made efforts to search for the topics that might have already covered this. I did not find any. Please point me to any links that you know of.

No

2. What would her status be? Would she lose her H4 status?

Her status would be "Adjustee". Yes, she will loose her H4 status.


scenario 2:
If the primary applicant is the husband and wife (who is on F1) uses her EAD, then
1. Does that have any impact on the husband's status?

No

2. What would her status be?

Her student (F1) status was gone as soon as you applied for AOS. She will be "Adjustee" and needs AP to travel abroad.

Hi Friends,
I have question my wife using EAD loose her H4 status.

Now she applied in community college for study application ask what status currently

1. us citizen
2. permanent resident
3. student on f1 visa
4. other visa mention here visa type...........

if she loose H4 while using EAD what option she need to chose from above? I think permanent resident for tax purpose but not sure what is applicable here.
