My wife\'s I-485 case has been transferred to the local Detroit office by NSC. What does that mean ? We filed her case as a dependent. My I-485 was approved back in July, 2000. They sent her fingerprint notices twice and we got them taken both times. But after that nothing happened till Feb 7, 2001 when they transferred the case to Detroit.

Anybody in a similar siutation ?

Thanks.

Did you file simulteneously or added her to the application later? I was under impression that INS approve I-485 for the whole family at the same time. It shows I was wrong.

I am in the same situation. My husband who is the principal applicant was approved on FEB 26, 2001. I called NSC and on Feb 28, 2001 they transferred my case for processing to Detroit office. Do you have a phone no for INS Detroit office that we can call? NSC gave a phone no to call in Detroit but when I call it says that the no. was disconnected.
We applied for I-485 EB1 November 1999, FL -December 13, 2000, my husband was approved on Feb 26, 2001 got his approval notice by mail on March 3, 2001.
