Wife in F1 and i am a Citizen,does she need F1 now

I got married when my wife was in a student visa. I am a us citizen and I applied for I-130 and I –485 in the local ins office
on JUNE 6 2002(reciepet date).My wife got the work permit and her green card process is still going on. Does my wife has continue in school now?.If she
don’t take classes i think the school autorities will report it to INS.

you can try adjust her status with the school registrar (DSO). if you have some paper from INS proving that your petition is in progress, you have a chance of convincing DSO that she is no longer F-1 student. if school knows and understands your situation then there is no reason to deport her. she has a right to stay legally in this country. i know that this advice does not have legal paragraphs attached that would support my thoughts, but i used to be on f-1 and was able to work many things out with school DSO. they do actually have some power.
