Wife and daughter for L2 stamping when have an apptmt for H1 stamping in Jan2007?

Hi

I work for a company A in India and I currently have a valid L1 visa from this company. Company A has applied for L2 for my wife and daughter and their interview in Consulate Chennai is in Oct 2006. Apart from this, I have got H1 filed from an employer in US. I have taken an web appointment for H1 and H4 stamping in January 2007 for myself and my dependants. Is it advisable for my dependants to attend interview in Oct 2006 for L2 stamping and then come with me for H1 in Jan 2007? Would there be any additional issues/questions asked in H1 interview as the mean-time gap is very short? Infact we dont have any travel plans on L visa from my current employer?

Hi there,

If you do not have any travel plans after taking L2 visa, then why do you need the visa? Just for a stamp on the passport and what is it worth when you plan to attend H1/H4 interview in January anyway.
