Wierd situation - help please!!

I know my case is approved only by my wife's welcome notice and later physical card after two weeks. I haven't received any approval or welcome notice yet. I went and stamped my passport at the local office.

I know my approval date from the officer that it is Mar 21'05. Whether I should be concerned about I181- creation of record? Whether the approval date of the application or record creation date will be taken in to account while applying for the citizenship or if I want to transfer the job after 6 months or so?

Please help me!!

---wait 60 days after passport stamping if you dont get Card then file Form G-731, - Inquiry About Status of I-551 Alien
Registration Card with your service center
Whether the approval date of the application or record creation date will be taken in to account while applying for the citizenship

or if I want to transfer the job after 6 months or so?

My situation is even worse, an offier called us and said he is going to approve the case, confirmed our address and other info.
Now it's been 2 weeks, still haven't received any welcome letter or green card.
I called them using 1800 number plus visited the local office and get 2 different answers:
Local office says it's approved but we don't know what to do next.
1800: says case still pending.
Gee, what should I do. Why this is so painful.
