Wierd case..I-485 approved: I-140 approved after leaving GC sponsoring employer..

All,

Today my I-485 status changed to approved. My I-140 was approved 16 days after I was laid off from my GC sponsoring employer.

Its a little wierd because my new employrer sent the AC-21 letter just last week. I don't think the AC-21 letter sent to CSC matched the I-485 file so early.

Strangely the attorney of my previous company withdrew G-28 attorney of record on my I-485 application. I got a copy of that in the mail today. My new attorney has sent the G-28 to the USCIS along with AC21 letter...

Gurus.. what shud I do this GC???? Use it or throw it and start again because of layoff mentioned eearlier....

Not at all. I got laid off 60 days before my I-140 was approved.

Sit tight, put the letter that you are fired in a bank lock-box, lay low, wait for your card to arrive and consider yourself lucky.
You had every intent to work for this employer and unless something unusual happens, you are in the clear. Just don't make any noise about it.
