Wierd Birth Certificate Issue

On my birth certificate, instead of just having my parents names, in my dad's case they have my grandfather's full name attached to it, and in my mom's case, they have my father's full name attached to it.

So if my father is Mr. A B C son of D E F

His name is written as: A B C D E F

Will this be an issue? Can I explain to USCIs in a letter that this is just supposed to be the full family name with the name of the husband / father?

I want to avoid any potential issues.

Not an issue. USCIS will just ignore the superfluous info. If your birth certificate has your parents' names then that's all they need. If I understand you correctly, your mother's name on the b/c is your maternal grandfather's name. If you're really concerned then just drop the USCIS folks a line.

Well my mother's name is her married name (which happens to be my dad's first name) followed by my dad's full name including middle and his last name.

My dad's name is listed in full followed by his father's full name.

I am thinking of explaining in a letter to USCIS that this is the cultural norm of writing the names.

Again not an issue if you have your parents's marriage certificate showing that her name changed. I assume that some element of her maiden name is still part of her name. Explain it anyways to the USCIS folks and you should be OK. If you can find something from the internet about naming conventions for your culture, then enclose that too.
