Why USCIS is not approving my GC?

Gurus,

Finally after a long grilling of my brain and my documents, I found out one of the biggest reason that might be delaying my GC approval, even after responding RFE in timely manner:

My Date Of Birth -
When I filed my tax return this year (2004) I discovered that while upgrading there systems SSN/IRS office messed up with my DOB and saved it as 01/08 instead 08/01. I did go the SSN office (They told me that its because they messed up while upgrading) and got it updated immidiately and received the new Social Security Card too in like 7 days.

No clue if that is one of the strongest reason for my delay. Please share your comments Gurus and if you have any suggestions for me please share them too.

Hi Sam
I am not sure whether the delay in approval has got to do with your DOB

It happened with my spouse when we changed her Indian Passport (from Maiden - to Last Name after marraige)
Her DOB was wrong, we didn't notice anything we applied 485 and everything with wrong date on Passport, although all the forms we filled had right DOB.
It was notice only during 1st FP, they lady said she won't allow to do FP, I expalined her it was typo mistake as I had my spouse old passport, they did allow us FP. I checked later on, but luckily all 485 Notice EAD and AP had right DOB.

Well that's history

Coming to approval, I really think you will be getting Approved soon, as you are dates are pretty close to what they are processing. I am waiting to Type Congratulatiions message on your Approval. I think that should be some time soon.

So ALL THE BEST
Make a Strong Pray to ALMIGHTY and you will be there

Waiting for your and others Approvals

Take Care

Sam:

Didn't I tell you that your Name Check and Date of Birth check might still be pending, and now that you tell this story I strongly think that's the main reason.

Follow up with your local Senator/Congressman and make sure that they're working on it. Also, try speaking to a IIO at the NCSC and make sure that they have your date of birth correct.

Best of Luck.

04/02 people shold have patience. Lots (n lots) of earlier people are still waiting- BCIS/VSC processing times are still 02/15.

Best of Luck.

After you mentioning about "Date Of Birth check", I remembered this thing about my DOB, earlier I was thinking they only do a Name check.

Well looks like I need to take some steps.

GC_KA_CHAKKAR: I was on the same impression until Mavishka mentioned it in his last posting somewhere.

Thanks guys!
