Hello everybody! It is been a long time since I've posted last on this forum which is so dear to my heart. I hope everyone is OK.

I need help for a friend of mine whose case has just been tranfered to Nebraska. She lives in Florida, and her case has been processed by TSC since Sept 2004. Her I-140 was approved on July/05.
Her priority date is Jan 2003. She is EB3 and has FP done in March/05.
Can you give me any clue why her case was transfered to Nebraska ?
She is so scared that it might be a mistake or a terrible "screw up " of TSC.
She did get an e-mail which said her case was being transfered, but no cause was mentioned.

Please give me whatever advice you can. I promised her I would help her !

Hi,
I am also in the Same boat, My Priority Date is Feb 2001, EB3, FP Done, 140 Approved. On Sept 23rd, 2005, my case also transfred to LINCOLN,NEBRASKA. I am still waiting for receiving the written notice from nebraska about the transfer. Customer Service asked me to contact after Oct 29th, if I dont receive the letter. They dont have any more information on this transfer. I hope the written notice/letter will have some more informaton why my case is transfered to NSC. Crossing my fingers.

Hello mvusa,

First we glad to see u around, hope u and ur sweet baby all well :D .

Well, about ur friend case transfer, it seems its mistake if ur friend and employer is in FL.

Tell ur friend don't panic, first find out that email he/she received is not glitch of system. How to? call TSC directly and speak to officer here how to

----------------------
method to follow to talk with TSC direct.

use 800 to find status.
Press 1 for english
Press 2
Press 6
Press 1 for SRC #
Press 1 again to confirm
Press 3
Press 3 or 4 when it says u have file Multiple applicaiton, by selecting this option u will be connected with TSC.

(if u find any error after SRC input, use any other SRC like EAD etc)

Once connected give TSC-opt to ur 485 src..
---------------------------------------------------------

If they confirmed case tranfered by mistake they would be correcting it ur friend would need to send something in written and keep follow-up untilll case get back to tSC.

if they say no reason they are aware of it then ur friend may need to start some serious struggle.

I believe "Saras" case had same issue and he is the best person to contact and ask what steps he followed, there is office in Chicago usually ppl send letter. 'Saras" would be reading this thread and I believe he would share some helpinfo.

Meanwhile find out detail of email ur firend receive by calling TSC.

again don't panic it would be headache little bit but it is resolvable, many ppl have different exp, some got their case very quickly and some case took little bit time. so ur friend need to be very patient and be hopeful. there might be some good reason for this. may be case came back and they would process in quick fashion and approve it.

Good Luck

HI Kamma, thanks for your response on my posting. Can you tell me if you live in Florida and if your employer is in Florida too?
Do you think it was tranfered by mistake? Has any other person given you clues on why this transfer was made?
Good Luck!

Hi POJ. So nice to hear from you. As usual you are right there helping with your kind answer. I've passed the info to my friend, and she'll be calling tomorrow. Let's hope they resolve this matter quickly.

Best wishes!

mvusa,

How are you doing? Its been a long time since you posted anything in this forum. Hope things are well with you and your family.

Regarding the TRX of your frens case to Nebraska. I am certain that this is an error which needs to be corrected as soon as possible. My case that was TRX to a local office in Miami by mistake really delayed my application and now I am stuck in retrogression. Your friend needs to request her lawyer to start an inquiry through AILA. The sooner she gets some attention to her case the better. Waiting for things to happen will only lead to more delays.

regards,

HI SARAS!!! thanks for your response.
As you know I've been busy with my two babies! And since retrogression left me discouraged, I decided to step aside for a while so I could forget a little and stop my obsession with USCIS and their mean ways! I decided to post because a friend of mine needs help. I told her it might be a mistake, but she does not want to call TSC before talking to her lawyer!!! Let's see what happens.
Thanks anyway for all your advice.

Hi MVUSA/SARAS/POJ,

I just talked to Texas Service Center people regarding my case, they say, they sent it for security checks and asked me to contact after 60-90 days, i.e. my case transfered on Sept 29, I need to contact them back on Dec 30th.

SARAS pl. advise, shoud I ask my Attorney to open an enquiry ?
MVUSA: I live in Dallas,TX.
Thanks

kamma,

Has your case been transferred to a local office in Nebraska or the Nebraska Service Center? I am very skeptical about this transfer. It seems like they have messed up. You will probably get written letters confirming the transfer but that will not mean that its not a mistake. When my case was TRX by mistake I got written notices of that transfer.

Anyway I would push the lawyer into getting in touch with AILA and opening an inquiry. Once this is done and you do get confirmation that the case is in Nebraska, I would get in touch with the Ombudsmans office. They are very helpful. They are the ones that finally got TSC to pay some attention to my case. I have their contact information and email. Send me a private message and I will send that information to you.

I sent private message to you saras, pl. respond to that. I apreciate it. you can use reply to mu hotmail id mentioned in the message.

Thanks in Advance

Saras,

The status says:
"On September 29, 2005, we transferred your I485 Application to Register
Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to an office in LINCOLN, NE for
processing. That office will notify you when they take action on your case. You
should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a
local office. Please call the National Customer Service Center at (800)
375-5283, to receive information about local office processing times."

as there is no Local USCIS office in Lincoln,NE, I am assuming it is Nebrasks Service Center.

Hi I am mvusa's friend

Hi everybody thanks for your answers and guidance.
I just spoke to TSC and they told me that because the high number of petitions they are transferring cases to LNC to spedate the services. He said that I can write a letter (which I am going to do) to request the reason for the transfer. He also told me to wait for the receiving letter from Lincoln to attach it to the request. I was told that the letter could take between 4 to 6 weeks to be mailed, but it also could take up to 60 days :(
This is a copy of the email I receive:
"Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On October 26, 2005, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to our office in LINCOLN, NE for them to schedule and conduct your interview. Scheduling can take several months. Our office in LINCOLN, NE will notify you when they schedule your interview or take other action on your case. If you need further information, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283."

Hope05,

Welcome to this fourm, its good to see u,

And we all glad to see that u call TSc and learned, at least some progress, keep followup ur petition.

Attorney is good support when u see issue while 485 is pending, but never rely on them completly always followup ur own petition and never hesitate to ask ur attorney if u think that u need some backup/support on ur pending case. use ur attorney and ask him/her that you want to send letters to TSC and other center to resolve this issue, usually attorney get periority reply than applicant. keep followup with ur attorney if he communnicate with them on ur behalf.

Whatever ur attorney send/receive to/from USCIS , always ask to give u copy .

We also heard from 'mvusa' that u make very good crabs soup without crab. plz share us the secret recipe ? :D :D

Wish u good luck.

I received a letter from TSC

Hi everybody
I just opened my mail and I got one letter for my husband and one for me. They said:
" 10-26-05 Notice Type: Transfer Notice

Preliminary processing of the above application or petition has been competed, and it has been transferred to the INS office at
Nebraska Service Center, P.O. Box 82521, Lincoln, NE 68501-2521
Telephone :(402) 437-5218

That office will notify you when they schedule an interview on the application or petition. Any further inquiries should be made to that office."

When I spoke to TSC, the representative told me that I had to remember that TSC and LNC are processing center they will schedule the interview in Miami a or West Palm because I explained that I lived in Florida and my husband's employers is in Florida.
Any way I will call Nebraska tomorrow. I will keep you posted.
Wish you well, Hope05

Saras
It seems TSC is now transferring cases to Nebraska to expedite processing and to relief work load in Texas. What do you think?

Kamma
In my friend's posting, Hope/05, there's a direct phone number to Nebraska's office.
It came along with her transfer notification letter. Why don't you try calling there and see what they say?
Good Luck!

Sure mvusa,
I will try that tomorrow.

Thanks a Lot

Hi

Hi Kamma
I talked to my layer a he said that TSC sometimes tranfer cases for many reasons. Today I am going to fax the letter that I got. Thank to "Wilma" his building has not power yet and has been difficult. He did not clearly say de reasons, but I am going to ask him to send a written request to TSC. I have not called yet LNC I am going to wait until Friday to give them a week. Did you call?
Wish you well, Hope05

Hi Hope05,

I recently updated my Address with USCUS Customer service, and also requested to re send the transfer notice to my new address. now I will wait for my letter regarding the transfer, once I receive the letter, I want to start enquiry with the lawyer. I have seen some other people posting the same messages about the transfers today in the same forum. Also the number they provided for NSC is not working( says it is disconnected). lets see how it goes. hope if the new laws passes in the house/senate we will have some relief. crossing my fingers.

Thanks
Kamma
