Why this will happen

I got my online message changed today. However, it is not the good news:

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On October 3, 2003, your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received here for processing. It is taking between 570 and 600 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.

My application was submitted Feb. 2002 to VSC. I did call BCIS early this week to reconfirm address change. Any idea what is happening here? Thanks

What was the status prior to this?

Recently they have had problems with their online system. What does the phone message say?

The status before this is ...On July 30th,2002, your finger print is received and the case is resumed on your case...

Phone message is also changed. It is the same as online message.

This is really a weird message. I would say don't bothered about it and the other end better be cautious. Talk to tier 2 person in NCSC see whether you can get any insight of it.

By the way what is your notice date.

Ur a Feb RD with FP1 in 7/30/02 which means it's valid until 10/30/02....So u have a good chance of approval very soon..[by month end]
Call BCIS and check on your status...!! and clarify on the online message..!! Nothing to worry about..!! This may trigger the case being looked upon soon..!! Can't trigger an FP2, as FP1 is still valid...

I am Feb. 2001 filer (VSC)I probably will have to apply for a 3rd work permit this coming december.My case was transfered to NY office 9 months ago,my 1st FP had expired,no 2nd FP notice yet and I am just waiting to be schedule for a interview to Ajust to a Permanent Resident.So, if you are Feb.2002 filer I am not surprised.

only making guesses...

First guess is like some people are saying that your case might have been approved so system got confused and is showing the wrong message.

The other option could be that your file might have been transferred to your local center for an interview. And the online status might be talking about the date when the file was transferred to the local center. :(
