why no approvals?

Hi,
Weren't we supposed to get new visa numbers on 1 Oct, which it was predicted will lead to many approvals in the beginning of Oct. From trackitt.com, there were very few approvals in late Sept unlike early Sept. But from trackitt.com it also appears that there have been very few approvals since yesterday ( 1 Oct).
Is not this unexpected? What am I missing?
 
they wait until JUN-2008 and then they realize.....oh..........we are wastings lots's of visa numbers.......after that...they make all dates current.....then they approves some cases with PD 2007 or 2008 ..........and then once again Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:eek::eek::eek:
 
Good observation and your concern is valid, but I think it is little too soon to make any approval analysis at this point of time as USCIS is not very proficient in updating their systems. I would give it at least 3 weeks before i can compare the october approval rate with September or with any other month for that matter.

You also have to keep in mind that:
1. All that apply for AOS don't look at online status, so the approvals aren't known until a paper copy reaches home.
2. Most likely all those folks would not be logging on to Trackitt as well.

I know it's a wonderful way of tracking the updates, but I do not expect near real time updates when systems are so asynchronous.

First LUD on my 485 was for fingerprint, 9/5 & 9/6 are for received RFE but other two 9/12 & 9/13 I don't even know why is that ?? I did not receive any magic mail yet.
