Why I-485 receipt required to travel with a valid H-1B visa?

Could someone explain why I-485 receipt required to travel outside the US
even with a valid H-1B visa ?
In I-485 filing instruction INS says one can travel outside the US with a valid H-1B visa. It does not say anything about getting a receipt for I-485 before travelling outside after filing I-485.

I dont know why. But it is definitely required, as i heard from people\'s experiences. Dont go without that.
 
Not required with valid H1 visa

I don\'t think I-485 receipt is required if you have a valid H1 visa. It is required only if you are going to reenter using Advance Parole.

I have heard it is required "even" if u have valid H1-visa. Experts, please correct me here if I am wrong.
