Why did my I-90 go from California Service Center to the MSC? Please help

Hello,

I don’t know if this is the right section of this Forum for my questions… Please move if not…

In March this year I filed an I-90 for extending my greencard which will expire at the end of July this year. Unfortunately I did not file an online application, because I did not know that it could be so much faster, than the mailed in one…
I sent the I-90 in together with my parent’s and my brother’s I-90s all (four) together in one letter. I do not know if that’s was a wise decision or not…
We sent the I-90 as described to the (for us) appropriate California Service Center as it was described on the I-90 form… After a while we got the written notice and when I searched on the USCIS website for my case it said case pending and “On March 23, 2007, we received this I90 APPLICATION TO REPLACE ALIEN REGISTRATION CARD […] This case is at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location.”

So now I have two questions: First, is it ok that it says to “REPLACE” the alien registration card? Because in the list of the current processing dates (@ CSC) are listed both cases to REPLACE the alien registration card and to EXTEND the alien registration card…

And the second for me more important question: Why are our cases at the National Benefits Center, if normally the California Service Center is working on the I-90 for the residents of the western states… Also when I checked the current processing dates for the MSC (National Benefits Center) there are no I-90 processing dates at all… But at the California Service Center there they are…

Does anyone have an idea what is going on, or if anything is alright?

Thanks,
TB

Does really not anyone know an answer? Or can guess what happened / what will happen?

What do you think I should do now? Should I do anything, or just wait?
Please help!

Thanks,
TB
