Why did I get my FP notice from Vermont?

Hi guys, just found this forum today. Finally, can "talk" to people who are in the same situation and would understand me.

I'm a derivative asylee, was added to my husband's case some time in 1997 (he applied for asylum in 1992) We had to go through immigration court that was rescheduled three times and finally we got the asylum approved in January, 2000 (I was given a derivative status (I suppose), as it was not mentioned anywhere.
We filed I-485 in August, 2001.
Got FP taken on June 24, 2004.
On the same day (June 24) received a second notice that we need to appear in Newark for FPs, appointment date was the same though.

Here is what appears now in my case status online:

On June 22, 2004, we mailed a notice requesting that you appear for fingerprint recording. The notice also gave the times and location where this processing could be done. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

I have a question, where are you guys getting FP notices from? Isn't it supposed to be from Nebraska? Why did I get mine from Vermont?
(I live in NJ).

This is a new thing that they are updating the internet information specific to Finger print appointments. I did my FP last year and my status never changed from before the finger print notice to the actual finger print or after ....so I guess now the LIN information is much more closer to actual case status ...

Regards,

Status changed again today...

Although I did my fingerprints in on June 26, 2004 the case status says..

Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were collected and are pending
review.
