Whr do i belong F1 or H4?

Hi,

I have secured admission in a NY university for spring 2010.
I intend to go for F1 visa interview next month ie november.
Then I am getting married to H1b holder in december.
My questions are:

1. is it safe to mention in my F1 visa interview that i wll be getting married to H1b holder in december before going to USA in Dec end?

2. Can i go on F1 and be married to H1b holder?

3. Do i also have to take H4 visa after we get married?

I do not want to get into the hassle of going on H4 and then converting to F1, it takes about 3 months and I wish to start working on campus given an opportunity.

A1: Since you are engaged, you will have to mention your fiance' on your DS-156. You have no choice there.
A2: Yes
A3: You cannot apply for an H-4 visa until you get married

Just wanted to check if ur answers are 100% correct as i wll be mentioning my fiance's name in my DS 156 form and also wen i wll go for my F1 interview. btw mentioning my intention of getting marrie din december to H1b holder will not create any problm while getting F1 visa right?

You mention in on the DS-156. Mention it at the interview only if asked. As a general rule, do not volunteer anything at the interview unless asked. If asked, tell nothing but the truth.

i wll be mentioning my fiance's name in my DS 156 form and also wen i wll go for my F1 interview.
