Whole GC process in 3 months at CSC ?

My lawyer is about to file my EB-1 OR and I-485 concurrently.
She told me there's a chance to get EB-1/I-485 approved in 3-4 months
at California Service Center and I was really surprised.
Has anyone seen this kind of quick processing ?
I have seen some EB-1 petition pending for 2-3 years and
I just can't think this happens very often.

I also heard some simple name check can take months and delay the
whole thing. What is it about ?

Its possible, but don't count on it. When I was first planning to file my EB1-EA from CSC, it was taking about a month based on official processing times. By the time I filed, it was taking 4 months. In reality, it took 1.5 years for approval (might have taken a few months less if there was no RFE). On the other side, one of my friend's concurrent I-140+485 took just 45 days at CSC.

I just filed my 485 and was trying to estimate the time it will take. I was not surprised to find that according to official processing times, its taking 7 months but in reality, some people are receiving approvals in 2 months and some are waiting since 2002.

So you never know!

An interesting one with people waiting since 2002:

They allow you to initiate an inquiry if your case is >30 older than the processing date. But it doesn't mean that they will anything based on that inquiry. In my I-140 case, I initiated multiple inquiries after the processing date was >30 days than my RD but they didn't do much besides writing me a letter back saying that we don't always process cases in the order they are received

Re: Logigator

Those are I485, not I140.

My layer told me that EB1 people can use all (or most) of the benefits of green card after I140 is approved, before I485. I haven't asked him detail about it yet.

The original question was about both I-140 and 485. And yes, after you received EB1-EA approved and has received EAD, you can work for any employer you like in your field.

I realized the thread title was somewhat misleading.
Yes, it was about the concurrant filing of I-140(via EB-1 OR) and I-485
and getting both of them approved in 3-4 months.
I've only heard about the rumour but not actual case getting approved
that quick...
