I thought we can have an interim EAD if 90 days have elapsed right?

I am afraid to try the interim EAD after 90 days, please help!!

I am afraid to try the interim EAD after 90 days because I applied EAD two month ago and company had mass-layoff last week. I am thinking about getting interim EAD after 90 days, but is it possible that it will jeopardize my 485 process? for example, what if the local INS officier asked questions like that "are you still working for the company?" or "can you show me the employment letter"?

What\'s the best strategy for this?
