Will the death of the spouse (US citizen)caused by poor health or old age influence the GC processing if the marriage is still within the 2 years conditional period?

Cause of death is irrelevant.
Length of marriage is your answer.
> If you applying to remove the conditions on your conditional GC then file I-751 with a copy of death certificate and other relevant evidence of bona fide marriage and you’ll be OK.
> If you don’t have the GC yet, but been married to a person for two or more years on a time of his death, then you still eligible for GC.
> If it was less then two years, then your marriage based I-485 will be denied, most likely.
