which way is faster to get the EAD

Hi, there,

I am gonna to apply EAD for my wife, we need EAD
ASAP so that she can work in a new position ( currently she is on H4).

1. apply with VSC for I-485, after getting receipt, apply with local INS office ( Newark, NJ) and make an appointment to interview, get EAD.
OR
2. apply with VSC for I-485 and I-765 concurrently, wait for the approval from VSC.

Does anybody has some experience and tell me which way is faster.

Appreciate your help.
 
definitely not First

U cannot apply with local ASC when 485 is pending with service center.
U can however go and get an interim EAD after 90 days from receipt date.
