Which visa when opening an office in the US?

Hello,

I am French and work for a French company. This company is planning to open an office/a branch in the US. I will be the one who moves to the US to support these US activities.

What kind of visa shall I apply for?

And what kind of visa shall my wife apply for as she plans to follow me in the US?

H1-B for yourself and H4 (Dependent Visa) for your Spouse. It is also possible for your Company to sponsor an L1 for you (Intra-Company transfer). Both are options and should be discussed with an Immigraion Attorney since this is a new setup in the US.
