which visa for me???!

hey there guys. i am an international student in australia and i want to do a short term internship in human resources in US for like 3-4 months.

which visa i should apply for????? now does the employer tells you which one to apply for or is it out choice??? J1 or H3 or what???

if on j1, can i extend my visa if i plan to do other work experience programs?? please do let me know your comments thanks in advance guys

I believe you should not worry about the type of visa. When you apply for a visa at the US consulate, the a consel will decide which one is appropriate in your case depending on the documents you present. It seems that in your case J-1 will be the most appropriate, but even if they give a different one, not to worry.

The information above is not true. The U.S. Consulate does NOT decide which visa is best for you. You submit an application for the visa of your choice. It seems as though the J-1 visa would best fit your needs. You need to obtain approval for a designated J-1 agency in the U.S. prior to scheduling your appointment at the Consulate in Australia.
