Which takes less time & how much less?

I am in USA on H1B. Wanted to apply for canadian PR.

Was wondering which one takes less time & how much less time(in months or years)
1) Applying by own self
2) Applying thru a canandian company

Any round about figure would do.
 
as far as i know, if a can. company sponsors u, it takes less time and in the meantime you can start working for that company there. they give you a work permit and u can move there.
