Which is better, EAD or H1-B Extension?

Hi, my first H1-b will be expired at the end of April, 2001. I have applied I-485, but has not got FP notice yet. (ND 1/20/2000). Is it better for me to apply EAD or have H1-b extension? Thanks a lot.

I would say EAD (if you are planning to do some work outside your sponsoring company) and AD (if you are planning to travel outside the country). Just a thought.....

What if already have H1 extension for next 3 years, and after
that applied for I485/EAD/AP. Didnt get EAD/AP yet. Got receipts.

Do I need to get passport stamped for extended H1 or
EAD/AP will do. Old H1 stamp expired now.
