Hi All,

My current status is H1B. I entered US 3 years ago as F1 student. When I change my status to H1B, along came with the H1 approval notice a new I-94. So now I have 2 I-94 cards. One is the original one (white) I got when I first entered US and the other is a (greenish) one I got when change status to H1. When I leave US, which card(s) should I give to the attendent? Thank you.

Your current I-94 that was issued on H-1. F1 I-94 usually has a status of duration status. If you are not a student, that I-94 is no longer valid.

You dont have two I-94 cards. One of them is a part of your H1B approval form. I know it says I-94 at the bottom, but dont worry about it. You will need it when you go for your H1B stamping. Your I-94 is still the one that you got when you last got into the US.

minn_labor is completely wrong and lolli1 is perfectly correct. Do not detach the I-94 that came along with your H1B approvale notice by any chance. The only I-94 you are concerned with while going outside US is the one that you received when you came to US that is the one they will take out once you leave US.
