Which congressman/woman to contact

I stuck in the FBI name check, no response from fax/email inquiry at all. Would like to write a letter for help from congressman/woman. Anybody has a recommendation about which one is effective and helpful on the issue? Appreicate any information
 
Usually you are expected to contact the Congressperson whose district you live in. If you don't then the Congressperson you contact will request you to do so. You don't really have a choice on that bit unfortunately.

Again, among the three (two senators and a congress person) find out who has a record of helping on such issues. I did such a study, and was prepared, just in case. My observation is that people tend to approach senators more than congresspersons. My personal experience: party affiliation of the elected representative does not necessarily have any bearing on their approach to such issues. Good luck!
