Whether EAD renewal can be applied 6 months in advance?

As EAD is also taking more than 3 months and no iEAD is released in one day, is it possible to apply for the EAD renewal 6 months in advance? Or is there any restriction to apply for a renewal only 3 months/90 days in advance? Experts please clarify.

I think it is better to apply for a renewal as soon as you get one approval (i.e) 1 year in advance.

Thanks, my question is whether I can apply even before that. If my current EAD expires by Jul 03, can I apply for it's renewal by Jan 03 or even today itself?

I remember in a doc from CSC said that if you apply EAD earlier than 4 months you need a proper reason to let INS understand why you do it so earlier.
