Hi,

How does the Mumbai consulate determine where to send the interview letter?
Will it send it to my attorney in USA or my employer or me?
Or will it send it to my address in India?

When you say interview letter you mean the Packet 4 which
contains the interview letter and some other information.

This is sent to the address you would have filled in Item # 13
of your DS 230 Part I.

However it is possible to have this mailed to an address in India
by either mentioning it in the Item # 13 of the form OR by
sending a mail to the consulate after the case reaches them
and informing them of your intent.

I have mentioned my current address in US in item#13 of DS 230.

So i presume the letter(p4) would come to my current address

Yes. But as I said earlier you have the option of requesting
the consulate to send the packet 4 to your address in India.

Getting the letter to an address in India is much faster, takes only 2-3 days. Consulate uses speedpost service.
 
NVC was "completed" on 4/21/2003

How soon will Mumbai get my papers, and how will I know about it?
I wrote an email to 'MumbaiIV@state.gov' on 4/25/2003 and have not recieved any reply yet.

Cool down! My friend.

If the review is finished on 04/21 they would not have actually
sent it to the consulate by 04/25.

Give the NVC 6 to 8 days to actually send it. Give 3 to 4 days for
the packet to travel. And another 3 or 4 days for the consulate
to enter the case in their system.

u know, its been over 2 years this process has been running.
And now i am almost there....can't wait.
