Where to file AP

I filed my I-485 at TSC. Now I am separately filing the AP for the first time. If my case is not an emergency, can I file it at my local INS office in Miami?

Do I have a choice?

Any help appreciated.

You can do a walk in at Miami as it is the district office. Fill up the forms , take the MO for the requested amount (check INS web site for the latest since fees are going up from feb 19), write a reason letter as to why you need AP and walk in to the east line. People are usually lined up from 4 AM but since east line is the one which is disposed off faster, you can go and stand at your convenience. However, if you go early you will get your AP soon, otherwise it might take a longer wait inside...

Is East line the main entrance? Can\'t I send in the application?
I called and was given all kinds of conflicting information.
 
It is surprising somebody answered in Miami office!!

Both the lines are at the back of INS. The one going faster is the East line.
Otherwise you canapply for your AP with the service center, and approvals are being received within 2 months nowadays.

I went and it seems crazy that we havee to stand there and wait for hours. Why they won\'t suggest that we send in the application makes no sense to me. Anyway, I am sending mine to Texas.
