Where Should Petition for Delayed Cases be Sent to?

Clueless123,

Emails can be sent from their web pages:

VSC BCIS Director (name?)
http://www.immigration.gov/graphics/fieldoffices/vermont/aboutus.htm#anchorORG
VSC Director: Paul Novak

Congresswoman Nita M. Lowey
http://www.house.gov/lowey/contact.htm

Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham
?

Senator Edward Kennedy
http://kennedy.senate.gov
senator@kennedy.senate.gov

Senator Sam Brownback
http://brownback.senate.gov/CMEmailMe.htm

Sen. Patrick Leahy
http://leahy.senate.gov/contact.html

Senator Luis Gutierrez
http://luisgutierrez.house.gov/
Congressman Luis Gutierrez, U.S. House of Representatives
2367 Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C. 20515
Phone - (202)225-8203 Fax (202)225-7810

BTW, just curious, why Secretary of Energy?

actually, I think lawyers know which senator is pro immigration better than us. AILA should have
the list.

VSC director is a must. How about that person mentioned in the Murthy rumor.

To noRFEyet

Hi noRFEyet:

You cannot send attachments to their email account over their
web sites. We have an Excel file with all the signatures as
an attachment in addition to the petition letter web address.

I'll see if I can get their actual email addresses through the
"View Source" menu command.

The National Immigration Forum has moved. Please note our new address and phone numbers.

The National Immigration Forum
50 F Street NW, Suite #300
Washington DC 20001

Phone: (202) 347-0040
Fax: (202) 347-0058

This organization helps immigrants too.

Can you fax the print out to senators? Can you remind Rajiv officer to send the phone petition along with the backlog one?

It's such a pain. Most of all, it shouldn't be that painful. Maybe we should show all the senators Project Kashmir(CSC's project of scanning all cases) or Project Vermont. So they know we're now lying.

Thanks Dengdeng!

Thanks Dengdeng for providing the contact info of the important
people!

I don't think Rajiv should send fax to these people, because
that means he has to have an assistant format the petition
and signatures in Word. It's very important to get everything
right. It's not an easy job.

I'd like to do this. But I have a full-time job. I'm afraid that
would be too much pressure on my part.

Email seems to be the easiest. Any comments?

my 2 cents worth

First of all - Thanks to all who came up with so many ideas and
contact info! Especially deng_deng and Edison - you guys are doing a great job!

I think emailing will be a good option. Infact we could have included the president email: president@whitehouse.gov , but as luck would have it the White House has come with a more cumbersome alternative and the above email id no more works (what else can 10/2001 filers expect :)

Also I believe the main petition for VSC Director will be hard copy on Law Office letter head and mailed - right ?

Should we also send a hard copy to "Director, Office of Internal Audit" - Washington DC office ? See the Extract of Customer Feedback pasted below.

Also should we distribute email contact ids and send emails via a new common email account ? I would like to volunteer. Infact will try to compile a list of all the contact emails ids on this thread tomorow.

Thanks.

I found most pro immigration senators are pro asylum immigration or illegal immigration more than us employee based.
So don't know if sending them those stuff will take effect.

But one things is. Democratics frantically want to take over the
oval office, they can use this as a weapon to point out inefficiency of Bush government.

To dengdeng

Hi dengdeng:

I didn't speak to the Rajiv's office today. They're still collecting
signatures. I believe they will send out the petition later either
this week or sometime early next week.

They'd like to know where we want the petition to be sent to.
I think it won't hurt to send it to the people you suggest,
because basically there is a flaw in the BCIS system about
handling the I-485. And it is unfair to us who experience an
infinite wait. They need to know about and correct their mistake.
Period.

I think the petition is not about immigration, it is about fairness
and justice in handling the cases. People who filed their
applications earlier have not got approvals while those who
filed later have. And this is wrong.

Also the information the BCIS offices passed over the phone
was untrue in some cases - They may tell you your case would
be processed in a month or two. But you may not hear any
news in a year. This is another mistake they consistently made
to pass untruthful information.

Wanting to get a green card does not automatically makes us
lower human beings than other people in this country. We
should stand up to defend our rights.

Clueless, how about the phone petition. Will it be sent together with the backlog petition?

Did you tell Rajiv, on the petition, if it's possible to mention Oct/Nov/Dec rather than Oct only?

To dengdeng

Hi dengdeng:

I'll tell Rajiv's assistant to change Oct to Oct\Nov\Dec.

As for the phone petition, I have some reservations:
Even when there was a 802-***-**** vermont direct phone #
to use, what was the use of that?

Each time I called, they told me my case would be assigned
and processed in a month or two. They told me similar
things several times. But it's been over a year and nothing
happened.

The real reason for my case getting delayed was I didn't
pass security check. But they never told me that. Only
Senator Kerry's office found that out for me.

So what's the use of the direct phone call service?
Do you want to get that phone # back and listen to their lies?

If you can explain why the 802 # is still useful, I'll ask Rajiv
to send the phone petition together with the petition for
delayed cases.
