I was admitted into the US by an DHS officer at JFK yesterday.

He just stamped my Visa, and the stamp says "Admitted" and has the date on it.
Is that how it is supposed to happen? Shouldn't he have singned or something?

I can not find my A number anywhere? Where is that supposed to be?

That's what should happen. All it need is a stamp on the visa with the date you're admitted as a immigrant to the U.S. No signature needed.

The A number should be on the visa under "Registration Number." or sometimes, the DHS officer will write it on Admitted stamp.

yesterday i done my poe and the officer wrote an A number in front of my visa but no stamp on it saying "admited" but they stamped in my wife and child's visa saying admited i din notice this until now.is this a problem???

Your A-Number is on your IMMIGRANT VISA under <Registration Number>.
Just add an A at the front of the number.
