where do I get the tax returns from?

Hi folks.

just taking some pre-emptive measures,season of pre-emptions after all
have been reading the RFE requires applicants to provide with tax returns, where do I get this from? is it the 1041 forms we filed( which obviously I have not maintained), or do we need to obtain something from IRS???

you can get the tax return forms that you've filed from IRS...

If you have filed the returns online or through HR Block you may be able to get copies from them. I believe you are required to preserve copies of your tax returns for the last 7 years.

Clarification

You should always keep copies of the tax returns you have submitted. So for example, if you are in the US for the last ten years, you must have copies of last 7 years returns. If you are in the US for only two years, obviously you will have only two returns.
