where are all the company name change cases?

Have not seen any posts by folks affected by the name change in the last few days
Maybe its because there is no movement on this issue. Whatever the reason I request everyone to come back and post something............

   Company changed after I-140 and before I-485.
   Applied Pro-active I-140
       Waiting patiently for INS to act. I hate this.

Cool_bandha and mogaram I am still here waiting @ INS HQ in Washington DC trying to listen if any body says any word like REGULATIONS OR GUIDELINE or anything but NOTHING so far........

   I talked with Eyleen Schmidt at INS office in Washington, DC at 4:15PM on May 30th. She is Spokes person for INS.

   I talked about 2 following things.
   1. AC21, including portability of 485
   2. Why they\'re not processing extension of H-1 beyond 6 years?

   She said INS will come out with field guidence which will address those issues in next 2 to 3 weeks. (So what\'s New !!! I guess, these 2 to
   3 weeks never ends !!!).

   I also asked that is there any hold at NSC for India & China cases for I-485 approvals. She said NO. As long as Priority date is current for
   applications, there should be no hold.

   Join ISN, ask your friends and colleagues to Join ISN as well.

CSC is handling the name change cases. Seems CSC is very professional.

You all will be rewarded with your approvals soon. Just Hold on for few more weeks (Hopefully INS should come up
with their regulations). I know its really frustrating to wait for so long.

vsc_on_hold the time you are referring to must be pacific or mountain time
Its good to see everyone back here

Any way this 2 /3 weeks is not getting anywhere.
Anyone remember a episode from Seinfeld where there go to a restaurant
and are told that the wait is 5/10 mins. After 10 mins they are again told that the wait is 5/10 mins. This keeps happenning for sometime.

Seems INS also works this way. Every few weeks they will say 2/3 weeks

Hi Shraddha,
   I do not know the exact date when my I-140 redo was filed. I believe
it on May 16th , 2001 ( + or - 2 days). My case was under review
from mid Dec 2000 to mid May 2001. Two weeks ago, IIO told me that my
case is on Hold due to company name change. I know that sometime back
your case was also under review. What is the status now?

Our Status is "ON HOLD" - like everyone else...and ours too has been under review since mid Dec. We came to know a month or so back that we are on hold due to company name change.

So we wait :-(

  Yes, I remember that episode - the 5-10 minutes never came - and people who came after them all got in .... that sure rings a bell!!!

Hopefully all of us will be out of this mess very soon.

Per cool_bandha\'s request here are my updates

My I-485 is not on hold anymore
My amended I-140 was filed by my employer (IGTE) on 4/16/01. They claim to have received the receipt for this on 5/18/01. It still hasn\'t reached my mailbox and I have no clue when it will!!

Only after I receive the receipt notice, can I check the status of my amended I-140.

Still waiting....

Good work guys lets hang in there tight for few more weeks since we don\'t have any options but to wait and watch. I don\'t feel lonley any more....thanks cool_bandha for keeping this alive and thaks to all or you who responded IN REAL SPIRIT.

hi there:

not sure if i am on the same boat as you guys, my company has been acquired during I140, and when i do I140 REF my lawyer put the request to change to name, somehow the I140 still carry old company\'s name. My lawyer told me it is no big deal, and when file 485 we put all related document together.

Well, maybe i should do a I140 redo, or something to make myself feel better. Derrr... , BTW what IGTE means?
