When will TSC resume GC approval?....

Bajis, you are right.

2-3 weeks doesn't sound too bad. The only problem is that was what INS said at the end of November. I also looked at the latest processing times for El Salvador 765. It is 08/02. they have a long way to catch up, so the March 9 deadline may come and go long before we see any approvals.

Been there and tried it

I have written to both the senator and the congressman about TSC I-485 delays and the reply I got back was that they are aware of the delays and that they are unable to help during these INS restructuring times. So the only thing is to we have to help ourselves in times like these. By the way I live in central Texas so probably other states have more considerate senators and congressmen.

Letter format

Once we formalize a letter I will take the initiative to contact Mr. Khanna to see if he can help us out by preparing a similar letter like the FP letter. If we do not get any help from Mr. Khanna we can start a discussion forum posting where people can sign and then we can individually send this to our senators/congressmen/Texas Service reps saying that here is a collection of folks who has problems with your I-495 processing times. What do you folks think about this. I am sure a few hundred signatures will make a difference. Any suggestion to improve these letters is appreciated.

Dear Mr. Rajiv Khanna

As you might be aware TSC is more than an year behind in I-485 compared to other service centers and there seems to be no improvement in the processing time. The I-485 processing time will not improve until TSC takes action about it. We would appreciate if you could help several hundred folks who are waiting to get the approval and whose lives are affected by these delays. Example: The processing date has not moved at all in the past three months and there seems to be no signs of it picking up.

Letter to Texas Service Center representatives.

Subject: I-485 processing delays in Texas Service Center

Dear Sir/Madam:

Currently Texas Service Center is processing I-485 for Nov, 2001 dates. This is about an year behind compared to other service centers. Due to these delays lives of several hundred families are affected in several ways, especially in these harder economic times. We do not think that is fair on TSC’s part to delaying law abiding, tax paying folks like us. Is there anyway TSC could improve the I-485 processing time? Can TSC send I-485’s to other centers for approval? Can TSC shift resources to approve more I-485’s? What can we do to help you in any manner to quicken the approval process. We would really like to see TSC at least on par with the remaining service centers if not better.

Your quick and conclusive reply is appreciated.

Sincerely
Folks who have applied and waiting for I-485 approval.

A typo in your letter

Tru

There is a typo in your sample letter. I believe the current processing time for I-485 at TSC is 11/01/2000, not 2001. If was 2001, then everybody here would already approved.

good catch

In a moment of hurrying to spank TSC I forgot that I am going out of country on vacation starting Tue and will be back only on Feb 26. If anyone else is willing to talk to Mt. Khanna that would be awesome or I can come back from my vacation and resume this. Zgll Good and very important catch on the typo.

suggestion

Guys you are taking a wonderful step. I'm just suggesting one thing to add in the letter if you can which is like this, "Employers are taking this as an advantage and treating very badly who are in this situation"

Thanks

The dates are unofficial

Every website displaying the processing dates from different service centers, mention clearly that these DATES are UNOFFICIAL. I don't know whether you guys have noticed this.

These days the IIOs are also clearly saying that FP generation is RANDOM and they won't do anything about it. Don't know what's in the future. May be they will ask us to forget about GC!
