VSC and NSC are doing lots of I-485 approval. Any idea what's happen in TSC? Looks like Texas filer are so unlucky.

TSC filers have always been unlucky caryguy!!

According to some posts, when people called IIOs recently, the IIOs mentioned that all GC related petitions will be processed again starting March 1st. God only knows if that's true.

Bajis,
They seem to have different stories for everyone. I have also been told that they are processing them; but slowly (a few weeks ago). CSC seems to be stuck with us.

I hope TSC is processing I-485 even if it is very slow. Just I am afraid I can not see any approval in this forum last 2 months.

IT is hard to see any new approvals in coming days because all TSC IIO are busy in special assignment. What kind of assignment no idea. That is responsible for delays in EAD approvals. My EAD renewal is applied 4 months back and last week I was told to wait for another 2 months. If this answer is for EAD so we cannot hope soon for approvals. Can any one tell about this special assignment and any idea when it will get over?

Waiting for Ead renewal and I 485 approval.

Temporary Protective Service (TPS) Project

There is a deadline on I-765 El Salvador TPS cases. These cases must be completed by March 9, 2003. The two-month window receipts for these cases were enormous. To meet the timeline it was necessary to shift resources to this effort. This is only a temporary measure that will slightly affect productivity.
Cases past the processing due dates, and cases for which principals have been approved but family members are awaiting action, will be processed immediately upon termination of the TPS project. Age-out cases continue to be processed.

Good info. Thanks.
March 9th seemed a long way off to wait at Christmas...now its nt that far away.

TSC hopeful.

Hi, I want to believe every word of what you say. Is your source of info good? Sorry to question you but I am getting really tired of this wait.

ND 11/19/2001. No FP yet.

ramanathansunda,

I understand your frustration.

The source of the info is from www.immigration.com under Service Center Processing Updates.

Actually as I am replying to you. I saw another update dated 2/5/03:

What has the effect of the additional required Security Clearance been in terms of delay of processing applications? There have been no approvals of I-485 for several weeks, as well as the delay of adjudicating other applications.

Answer: TSC has continued to process I-485 applications.

Hope this brings cheers to all.

Hope this is true, too;)

This is from usvisanews.com.....not good.

In a phone call yesterday to the Texas Service Center, one of the employees of Latour and Lleras was informed that the Center had halted processing on all applications except for I-765 and Premium Processing applications. The representative from the Service Center explained that this halt occurred shortly before Christmas (late December, 2002) and they expect that it will continue for at least another two to three more weeks as they have more than 9,000 Premium Processing and Temporary Protected Status (I-765) cases which need to be processed. As soon as the Center eliminates this backlog, we fully expect them to resume processing all other cases (e.g. I-130s and I-140s) that have been placed on hold.

We should write to senators

TSC is already backlogged by an year for I-485 and now these issues. We should write to whoever we can to make them take notice.

The only option

To get justice from TSC is to file class action lawsuit. Otherwise, we'll be treated like this forever. They don't care, because we are foreigners. They won't dare doing something like this with citizens.

What happened to that petition we all signed, months back? We got any response from any corner?

I personally wrote to senators/ashcroft... All I got was two responses (last year in Aug-Sep) stating TSC was in the best position to judge my issues and they forwarded my letters to TSC. That didn't bring any good results for me yet, if not anything bad.

We need to stop BEGGING and start suing.

" ... they expect that it will continue for at least another two to three more weeks ... "

Hmm... 2 to 3 more weeks doesn't sound so bad. Let's hope they process I485 petitions after that.

Now vkalya where did you hear this from ?
If that happens, I can't imagaine , how much more slower
getting a GC will get.
is it just somebody's speculation or it is mentioned somewhere in print ?

Somone in here would have the expertise

Someone from this group might have the expertise to create a system where we can create a formal letter (similar to the one that was created for random Finger prints) to say that TSC is an year backlogged compared to other service centers in I-485 processing and it is creating hardships for us we can collect signatures and see what response we get out of TSC. Only the squeaky wheel gets the oil. IF we don’t complain then folks would assume that everything is working smoothly.

In a previous post, I encouraged everyone to look up their congressmen and senators at the following links. Email them with your concerns. We are taxpayers and they should be reminded of that. I have not heard back yet; but at least I'm doing something more productive than complaining to people who are in the same boat.

At the very least, it would be nice if an official could get the real story, as I've heard too much bullshit from TSC.
Good luck
