When will they start September/October?

They are currently processing August 01 in July 02 which is 11 months. The 10 month processing has slipped to 11 months thanks to IBIS I guess? I am quite sure there are lots of May/June/July people still waiting....

So is it fair to say:

September - Optimistic Scenario - July 15th (10.5 months wait)
- Pessimistic Scenario - August 02 (11 months)
October - Optimistic Scenario - September 15th (11.5 months)
- Pessimistic Scenaion - October (1year)

What to do guys feel?

My guess...

I am not trying to be pessimistic but I think they will start Sept cases in August...but I'd be glad if I can get my approval in Sept...:)

You know how INS is always so unpredictable. Sep cases should start in August.

Patience is the name of the game...
 
I think the avg will move to 12 months for cases filed after mid Sept...

Patience is the name of the game.....i agreed to this till last month...but now it is getting on my nerve.
 
I think processing time will reduce drastically after July-August cases are processed.

# of cases filed in July = 370
# of cases filed in Aug = 269
# of cases filed in Sep+Oct = 307
# of cases filed in Nov+Dec = 176
# of cases filed in Jan+Feb+Mar+Apr (2002) = 190

Consider the following facts

1. July cases took 3 months (Apr, May and Jun).
2. August cases are almost 70% of July cases (source rupnet).
3. August cases are started in last week of June/first week of July.

We can draw the following conclusions

1. August would take atleast 2 months (by comparing with the number of cases in July and the processing time for July). That means August cases will take until last week of August / Early Sept.
2. Sept cases will start at the earliest in 1st week of Sept.
3. Oct cases will start at the earliest in 1st week of Oct.
 
Abhay - the number of registered users @ rupnet/Immitracker..

grows slowly and peaks just before their approval month. So your theory on number of users on trackers does not hold good.

But you are right that # of cases will be less after Aug 01 and that could help in bringing the processing time down. But then if you look at the pace INS is processing for last couple of months, its gonna even out and the avg will be around 11-12 mnths. Which sucks big time.

I know some (few) of them will add details only after/near approval but will it change too much ? I dont have the answer.

We can check that after Sep approvals start coming in. I know its very difficult for each one of us to wait for 11-12 months.

Think abt people who waited for 6-7-8 months for I-140 and are now waiting for I-485. And now wait time for I-140 is only a couple of months. I hope same will happen for I-485 (if not couple of months then atleast 6-8 months)

The thing with all this is that personally for me I have had to wait at every stage and real long. People talk of being patient, I guess that's what we all are reluctantly or otherwise.

This whole wait has been frustrating to say the least. October will probably be in September as I dont think they will want to hit the 1 year+ mark.
 
Few July Cases marked 1 year

I know couple of people who completed year in 1st week of July and still waiting for decision. October is still far and all bets are off at this time, you never what changes on INS side. My RD is October and and still waiting for FP. Cheers...:-):-)
 
September should start in July

July approvals started in early March, August in early May.September should start in July.
