When to send the document for AC21 exactly?

I just switched company using AC21. Now, when exactly should I send the documents to uscis. I have been reading about sending paystubs too from the new company. So, is it okay to send the notification to USCIS after 2 months?

I know there is no set rule for AC21 ( and some say don;t even send it until you get an RFE) but I just wanted to know what;s the current general way of doing this.

---------- you can request to invoke AC21 now or later but it should be sent BEFORE I-485 gets approved
