Hello, quick question please. When should one file N400 application... based on the date printed on the GC -OR- when the PP was stamped which is about 15 days later than the date on the GC.
Thank you very much for replying in advance.

To be on the safe side, do it with the PP stamp date !
:D

Sometimes they print the wrong information on the GC, they didn't in my case, but sometimes they do. If you remember the date your I-485 was approved (which should be the same date on the resident since on the card) that should be the date. Definitely the passport stamp will have occurred after that and should be pretty safe date too. However, the important date is the approval date for your I-485.

Use the later date, since there isn't a huge difference.

If you choose the earlier date, even you're right they might (mistakenly) reject the application for applying too early. And that rejection might occur as long as 9 or 10 months after you've applied. Then you'll have to appeal or reapply. Either way, you've lost several months as a result of trying to save 15 days.

The dates should have been the same.

As the gap is small use the later day. It is not something worth fighting over.
