Guys I cant believe I am back to this forum after a lapse of almost 5yrs. WOW, what a journey.

Alright, so I will have these 5 historic yrs completed on September, 2009. I have lived all this time in US and worked my ass off, and I'm too thrilled and want to apply ASAP.

Earlier I thought, I could only send my N-400, 3 months prior, i.e. June, 2009. But as I was reading the application insturctions it says:

"If you are applying based on 5 yrs as a lawful PR, you may apply upto 90 days before you meet the CONTINIOUS RESIDENCE requirement ... bla bla"

Voila, so I met the contionious residence requirement long ago, does that mean, I can even apply today? cause by the time my turn comes, it'll be anyways 5 yrs!

It also says that you must fulfill allother requirements.
So that means 90 days before 5 year anniversary

You concluded that you already met the 5 year continuous residency requirement (long ago) as a LPR, yet you haven't even been a LPR for 5 years?

You can only potentially have 5 years of continuous residency as a LPR in 10/2009. You can apply for naturalization up to 90 days before you have obtained 5 years of continuous residence as a LPR. This means the earliest you can possibly apply is 7/2009.

Sadly but true, you guys are right :D

I was trying ... maybe Continious Residence is same as the Physical Presence, which is half the 5-yr period

So when applying for N-400, cant I include my parents? (who are not PRs). If not, is there any method to expedite parents PR so they can come n live in US happily with me!

Only once you become a US citizen can you sponsor your parents. There is no expedition process on N-400 for this.

Continuous residence in the context of naturalization is only referring to the time residing in the US as an LPR. The years living in the US pre-GC don't count.
