When to apply for EAD

Hello,
My EAD expires in August 2005, when should I apply for renewal? Last time my lawyer applied for my EAD, can I apply by myself? If yes, what are the steps/documents I need to go through/prepare?

---- read the form I-765 and instructions, copy ofI-485, copy of earlierEAD and top portion you got with EAD, color copy of passport first page, color copy of drving licence, form I-765, 2 passport style photographs, correct USCIS fees

Hello,
I had a little bit of an address problem when my lawyer applied for EAD, my home address was not deliverable, and I got my EAD 4 months later then it should be, so can I write my work address as the address in I-765 this time. I do not want this address confuse USCIS for my I-485, it should still be my lawyer address, will it cause any problem if my address is different and a work address this time?
