When to apply for citizenship

hello guys:

I just want to ask when can i apply for a citizenship. I got my greencard 3 years ago through my work but I have been married to a US citizen for 2.5 years now. Do I follow the marriage rule of 3 years greencard or the employment rule of 5 years permanent residence?

You can use the 3-year rule even if your green card was obtained through employment.

You can apply for naturalisation as soon as you complete 3 years of conjugal cohabitation with your spouse. I am assuming your spouse was a US citizen when the marriage took place.
