My ND is May, 2000. FP was done in Oct, 2000. I need to go to India for a month in June/July. I have plenty of time on my H1, and haven\'t applied for AP yet. My local INS office (Norfolk, VA) tells me they need a month to issue an AP. So I\'ll be fine if I apply in May, 2000, if I don\'t get my approval by then.
Am I being too optimistic here? Should I play safe and assume that my approval will not come by May, and go ahead and apply for AP right now? I\'m in education [EB1 OR] and am doing it without any lawyer. Thanks.
